We’re proud to share that The Blackburn Inn and Conference Center has been named one of 10 finalists nationwide for the 2026 Historic Hotels of America® Sustainability Champion Award. The national recognition honors historic hotels demonstrating innovative approaches to sustainability, stewardship, and preservation. For The Blackburn, the distinction speaks directly to the heart of our story: preserving an 1828 landmark and giving it a vibrant new purpose while thoughtfully caring for the historic resources already here.
This recognition builds on The Blackburn’s history with Historic Hotels of America. Since joining the organization in 2018, The Blackburn has received two Awards of Excellence, including New Member of the Year in 2019 and Best Small Historic Inn/Hotel (Under 75 Guestrooms) in 2021. The 2026 finalist designation continues that preservation story and recognizes the ongoing work of our team to protect this special place while welcoming guests to experience its history, architecture, and grounds.
